One Hot June-July

It is tough watching things dry up, the green pepper that is rubbery from lack of water, the cilantro bolted earlier than normal, and the worst bit...the Japanese Beetles have struck again.  They eat the roses, the hollyhocks, and the rhubarb!  The little worms i.e. leaf rollers have rolled every Red Bud Tree leaf within a ten mile radius....is there no end. My horses just plain look like saying 'will this never end'.  Their treat for the day is the cold water in the evening and the hosing that comes along with it!  Speaking of horses....the latest Gypsy Vanner filly to be born here has just been dubbed "CHF Shady Lady"!  She is lovely and so friendly.  She has been handled alot so she thinks she is one of us....OR, we are like her!
