Spring is here, though it seems as though, it keeps changing its mind from day to day. Spring should be joyful, baby horses....this is a horse farm and one mare was bagged and ready to go. Sad to say it was twins and after every mishap that could prevail, both babies died. The lesson to me and all of us is to have our mares ultrasound done early on. I have seen pictures posted on Face Book of twins that, at least, survived long enough for pictures but it is a rarity and should not be considered to be without serious complications. No matter how many years have passed since I made my way into this world I continue to learn hard lessons.
On the subject of lessons, I have so much appreciation for what David did around the farm and am embarrassed to admit were many times I failed to, not only acknowledge, but even notice. So much for a division of labor! He was the energy that drove our steam engine for sure. And in doing so he was also the one who wove adventure into our days. Not always agreeing we were often thought of as " Frick 'n Frack. Just ask friends Tom and Pat with whom we shared breakfast after Sunday morning Mass if you doubt any of this. So I ask, what would life be like without adventure? This past year has been so challenging for so many, riding on the winds of fear from my perspective. Fear sells shredders, insurance, justifies savings accounts, as well as psychologically paving the way to hoarding, just to mention a few. Most of this makes sense to us in one way or another and we accept the need for insurance as everyday. As a business we know how important it is to keep our records secure and out of the hands of criminals. When our government begins to control too many aspects of our lives, we begin to fear the very people elected to protect our rights. Fear is very powerful as we have seen with the CCP virus also known as Covid. Fear of dying, fear of catching it, fear of our neighbors, fear of touching .....fear fear fear. Many are critical of those who will not wear a mask or submit to an unproven vaccine. Driven by fear they become paranoid of everyone and everything. We have witnessed mass gatherings to protest, cross our borders, and just to celebrate spring break. Yes, no doubt the virus is real and can do serious harm to those lacking a healthy immune system. It still amazes me the challenges the big pharma and those in a position to profit from a virus scare are capable of generating as we observed it became political on the big stage. And as I stated earlier, fear sells. What happened to the adventure still waiting for us to begin, making the most of this brief life we have been gifted? It is brief. Learn to let go and let God is the motto of those who go fearlessly through life hand in hand with God. Oh, you may think you are fearless, but if in the dark of the night one would be able to humble themselves, truly humble themselves, one might understand how alone we truly are without God. David and I prayed for peace and the world knowing we would be here for a short time....certainly not forever and seriously, who would want to be. Bad news sells ..and the only reason I can think of is Satan has become techno smart and has found a way to scare us big time. Now is the time to say NO to this dark spirit and get on with a life of gratitude and thanksgiving. It is and has always been a choice. OUR CHOICE.

A CHANGE OF PACE!
A Change of Pace! So you may be wondering what that means for me, a horse person, a mother, a wife, a business person, a plant enthusiast, an art student, history buff, a Catholic, etc. This should tell you a lot about me but reality says...there is even more. This is going to be a journey around ideas, beliefs, and should you care to join me, you are welcome. The rules are simple, be civil.
We are experiencing the most unusual time in our/my lifetime. Reminds me more of past prophesy i.e. the book 1984, a reread of historical events leading to communism during Stalinism, Hitler's reign of death, as well as current life in the Chinese Communist Party that reigns over China working night and day to become a world military power. Those in the US are probably the best fed, best clothed, most prosperous people on earth. Unfortunately, we are rapidly being thought of as a culture of death, socialist under the guise of progressivism. If you tell a people a false hood over and over, the truth is soon forgotten and the false hood becomes the truth. Think about it.

A letter to a son.
I don't know who wrote this, but this is the feelings of our active Military& Veterans of the USA.........You graduated high school in 2011. Your teenage years were a struggle. You grew up on the wrong side of the tracks. Your mother was the leader of the family and worked tirelessly to keep a roof over your head and food on your plate. Academics were a struggle for you and your grades were mediocre at best. The only thing that made you stand out is you weighed 225 lbs and could run 40 yards in 4.2 seconds while carrying a football.Your best friend was just like you, except he didn’t play football. Instead of going to football practice after school, he went to work at McDonalds for minimum wage. You were recruited by all the big colleges and spent every weekend of your senior year making visits to universities where coaches and boosters tried to convince you their school was best. They laid out the red carpet for you. Your best friend worked double shifts at Mickey D’s. College was not an option for him. On the day you signed with Big State University, your best friend signed paperwork with his Army recruiter. You went to summer workouts. He went to basic training.
You spent the next four years living in the athletic dorm, eating at the training table. You spent your Saturdays on the football field, cheered on by adoring fans. Tutors attended to your every academic need. You attended class when you felt like it. Sure, you worked hard. You lifted weights, ran sprints, studied plays, and soon became one of the top football players in the country.Your best friend was assigned to the 101st Airborne Division. While you were in college, he deployed to Iraq once and Afghanistan twice. He became a Sergeant and led a squad of 19 year old soldiers who grew up just like he did. He shed his blood in Afghanistan and watched young American men give their lives, limbs, and innocence for the USA.
You went to the NFL combine and scored off the charts. Your hired an agent and waited for draft day. You were drafted in the first round and your agent immediately went to work, ensuring that you received the most money possible. You signed for $16 million although you had never played a single down of professional football. Your best friend re-enlisted in the Army for four more years. As a combat tested sergeant, he will be paid $32,000 per year.
You will drive a Ferrari on the streets of South Beach. He will ride in the back of a Blackhawk helicopter with 10 other combat loaded soldiers. You will sleep at the Ritz. He will dig a hole in the ground and try to sleep. You will “make it rain” in the club. He will pray for rain as the temperature reaches 120 degrees.
On Sunday, you will run into a stadium as tens of thousands of fans cheer and yell your name. For your best friend, there is little difference between Sunday and any other day of the week. There are no adoring fans. There are only people trying to kill him and his soldiers. Every now and then, he and his soldiers leave the front lines and “go to the rear” to rest. He might be lucky enough to catch an NFL game on TV. When the National Anthem plays and you take a knee, he will jump to his feet and salute the television. While you protest the unfairness of life in the United States, he will give thanks to God that he has the honor of defending his great country.
To the players of the NFL: We are the people who buy your tickets, watch you on TV, and wear your jerseys. We anxiously wait for Sundays so we can cheer for you and marvel at your athleticism. Although we love to watch you play, we care little about your opinions until you offend us. You have the absolute right to express yourselves, but we have the absolute right to boycott you. We have tolerated your drug use and DUIs, your domestic violence, and your vulgar displays of wealth. We should be ashamed for putting our admiration of your physical skills before what is morally right. But now you have gone too far.You have insulted our flag, our country, our soldiers, our police officers, and our veterans. You are living the American dream, yet you disparage our great country.

My View
Did you Know!
progress.
• All of a sudden, the President of the United States cannot attend the Christian Funerals of a Supreme Court Justice and a former First Lady because of previous (seemingly unimportant) commitments.

Politically Correct
an explanation I can finally understand and use to my benefit!
I have never heard it explained before!!As good an explanation as I have heard.Political Correctness:What is meant by the modern term referred to as ‘POLITICAL CORRECTNESS’? Although I consider myself fluent in English, that term was not in my vocabulary. Someone found this definition in 4 telegrams at the Truman Library and Museum in Independence Missouri. The following are copies of four telegrams between President Harry Truman and Gen Douglas MacArthur on the day before the actual signing of the WWII Surrender Agreement in September 1945.. The contents of those four telegrams below are exactly as received at the end of the war - not a word has been added or deleted!
(1) Tokyo, Japan
0800-September 1,1945
To: President Harry S Truman
From: General D A MacArthur
Tomorrow we meet with those yellow-bellied bastards and sign the Surrender Documents, any last minute instructions?
(2) Washington, D C
1300-September 1, 1945
To: D A MacArthur
From: H S Truman
Congratulations, job well done, but you must tone down your obvious dislike of the Japanese when discussing the terms of the surrender with the press, because some of your remarks are fundamentally not politically correct!
(3) Tokyo, Japan
1630-September 1, 1945
To: H S Truman
From: D A MacArthur and C H Nimitz
Wilco Sir, but both Chester and I are somewhat confused, exactly what does the term politically correct mean?
(4) Washington, D C
2120-September 1, 1945
To: D A MacArthur/C H Nimitz
From: H S Truman
Political Correctness is a doctrine, recently fostered by a delusional, illogical minority and promoted by a sick mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a piece of shit by the clean end! Now, with special thanks to the Truman Museum and Harry himself, you and I finally have a full understanding of what ‘POLITICAL CORRECTNESS’ really means.....
